I have been interested in Saltwater fish tanks for years. I have had numerous freshwater fish tanks all through my life. So about three years I took the plunge and setup a simple 10gal or nanoreef tank with little knowledge. I do not how I manage to keep the fish and corals alive.
Thanks to help from people in the hobby and discovery of online saltwater forums, I have managed to keep a small piece of coral reef alive.

I have had a couple of tanks in the past couple of years.... Starting with a 10gal, then 26gal. I then decide to try to keep a smaller saltwater tank with a 2.3gal, then a 4gal. As you guessed I had to try something else, a coral propagation tank. Then keeping a 15gal Carribbean biotope tank. I finally upgraded to a 40Br tank and setup a 20gal tank for my daughter, who has shown an interest in clownfish, ( DO NOT go out and buy Nemo for your kids.)

I am still amazed that I have a living ecosystem in my Living room. Well...................more to come.

Rotating Closures and cutbacks.

Please visit the "savethebcfd" link under Fire Stuff. Right now we are facing salary reduction and closures of firehouses. I would like to get the word out to as many people as Possible. Even if you do not live where I work, you still may be faced with the same in your area.

Due to the Economy, Public Safety is taking a BIG hit. Most Cities cutback on other services such as: trash pick-up, public works, etc. This is the first time the Fire and Police Departments are taking a HUGE hit. This not only affects you, the citizen , but police and firefighter safety as well.

I sure I will be posting alot more in due time.

Welcome

Hello, and welcome to my blog.
